Highwall Scout
The Scout is an advanced, multi-sector antenna that extends the coverage of the Sentinel and provides the only true wireless device location capability in the marketplace today.
The antenna helps network administrators locate the position of wireless network devices and clients, making it an ideal product for campus and multi-story environments where managing and securing the wireless network is paramount.
The advanced antenna technology used by the Highwall Scout enables network administrators to quickly find and secure wireless access points, clients and devices.
Extended Range
The Scout antenna provides additional range and coverage to the Sentinel. Due to the 8 60 Degree Directional Antennas which make up a Scout Antenna, the coverage area increases dramatically. The footprint of coverage of the Scout is more spherical and can cover multi-story buildings.
Location
Locating rogue access points and clients once they have been detected represents the next step in securing your environment. Due to the size and number of facilities generally involved, this can be a daunting task for corporations, universities and government agencies. Solutions that require individuals to walk around with low range handheld devices have proven to be technically inadequate and time-intensive. Meanwhile, solutions that require the overlay of a WLAN network to detect and locate rogue devices and activity can actually increase vulnerabilities, not to mention increase total cost of ownership.
Benefits
The Scout provides two key features required by enterprise deployments: extended coverage and location. For corporations or government agencies that have multi-story buildings, the Highwall Scout reduces the number of sensors that need to be deployed in order to monitor 100% of every building effectively.
