One platform for the whole city
SenseView is the central system that brings every data source together: traffic volumes and classification, journey times, air quality, weather, CCTV and connected devices. It manages the network and the devices on it, detects faults, and presents everything through a single interface — hosted in the cloud or in your own data centre.
Works with what's already on your streets
You don't have to rip out and replace. SenseView reads existing cameras, counters, signals and sensors by generating a small input/output (I/O) module for each device type — whether the data arrives over LoRa, RS232, RS485, modem, Ethernet or wireless. Our equipment and third‑party equipment sit side by side in one system.
Real‑time data, sampled continuously
Unlike survey equipment that reports after the event, SenseView samples and acts in real time, taking readings up to 300 times a second. Air quality, traffic and movement data stream live into the central database and can trigger immediate action — a green wave, an alert, a signal change — not just a report next month.
Replay the city
Every transaction is stored in a secure, offline archive for ten years or more. That means you can replay any period — the effect of a road closure, a major event, a new junction layout, or a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) — comparing before and after at any junction, for any mode of travel.
See every movement
At every junction the system can detect which vehicles travelled in which direction, where a vehicle entered the city, where it parked, how long it stayed, and where it left. Pedestrians and cyclists are counted and tracked too, showing how people move between transport hubs, high streets and homes.
Action, not just monitoring
Because the data is live, the AI can act on it: forecasting pollution an hour ahead, easing congestion through signal sequencing, or forwarding a flagged vehicle to the right team. SenseView connects directly to traffic control through UTMC (Urban Traffic Management and Control), and to controllers from Yunex, Swarco and Drakewell.
Your data, owned by you
The platform is built around a simple principle: the authority owns its data. It is designed for compliance with UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018, minimising personal data by design — identifiers are hashed and salted, so no individual can be identified from the stored record. Your data can be streamed to your own storage, exported in open formats, and reached through a full REST Application Programming Interface (API). NOW Wireless makes no onward use of it — never sold, never shared, never used for another customer. Where your data improves the service, such as training the AI to recognise vehicles more accurately, that is done for your deployment alone, on records already hashed and salted.
